David Bojorquez is an 8 time Silver and Gold Telly Award winning Filmmaker and the Director/Editor of the Journey of Loss... Discovery of Hope series.  He is also the founder of Journeys Project.

 If the holistic meaning of renaissance can be applied to a director, then that renaissance director is David C. Bojorquez.  A veteran creator of a diverse range of film, television and interactive  media, Bojorquez is among the industry’s most experienced,  award-winning, prolific and versatile Latino directors.  Whether sculpting evocative performances from talented actors that paint his vision on a cinematic canvas; or directing elegant, multi-layered motion graphic, 3D animation sequences - Bojorquez's talent is an extraordinary expression of creative acumen, knowledge and expertise that defines his passion for the craft of cinematic storytellling.

From designing award winning graphic opens and bumpers, to directing productions that have launched national networks for clients like TCI and Liberty Media, his approach is storytelling by design. What’s more, Bojorquez’ dramatic work with actors is equally well constructed.  His innate sense of eliciting real human pathos, when blended with cinematic expertise, results in a profound suspension of disbelief.

Millions of today's television viewers are familiar with his creations.  With over 300 credited productions, Bojorquez’ portfolio consists of a vast, award-winning body of work encompassing directing, producing, and editing for major broadcast and cable networks that include CBS, NBC, Nickelodeon, the Bravo Channel, Vision (Now the Hallmark Channel), PBS National, the Arts and Entertainment Network and others. On the New Media front, Bojorquez has directed and edited numerous interactive productions for organizations like Harvard University, Microsoft, the U.S. Air Force Academy, The Smithsonian Institute, The Cleveland Clinic and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Bojorquez has also directed and produced animated opens and commercials for World Vision International, Help the Children Here, Inc., Sprint International, National Medical Enterprises, UCLA and Black Entertainment Television.In the Fortune 500, institutional and non-profit fields, Bojorquez has created and produced television projects for Lockheed, Prudential Insurance, University of California, Los Angeles, Gateway Computers, National Medical Enterprises, Azusa Pacific University, Amnesty International, Harvard University, World Vision, TBN, Wordnet Inc., Aramark Corporation, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, William M. Mercer, Beckman Coulter, The Archdiocese of Los Angeles and The Archdioceses of New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Dioceses in 32 other leading American cities.

Mentored and contracted directly by the late and legendary, Robert Abel, Bojorquez directed numerous productions incorporating the industry’s most advanced 3D applications. While working with Abel, Bojorquez became recognized as a specialist in the development and creation of interactive content. Such projects included the production of interactive video articles for Air Power, a history of flight, for The U.S. Air Force and The Smithsonian Institute; the promotional video script and design for Ameritech Video Interactive Services; high-end computer animated graphics, simulating interactivity for TCI/Liberty Media's "tv!" Network; an animated trip through the human heart developed for the Mayo Clinic's Total Heart CD-ROM; and the production and direction of Quincy Jones on Jazz, for Microsoft's interactive Encyclopedia Africana. 

David Bojorquez is also a post production professional with expertise in a wide range of editing systems including CMX, Grass Valley, and Avid Media Composer. Bojorquez’ software design expertise includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects. And, as a creative specialist in convergence and Internet Broadband streaming applications, Bojorquez is equally at home directing and designing Internet based media.

Bojorquez’ work has been recognized by numerous awards. His most recent national recognitions include two 20th Anniversary National Telly Awards commemorating the best productions of the last two decades.  One was for a national PBS documentary he directed, produced, and edited, and the other was for the nationally touring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Interactive Voices exhibit.  During the same time Bojorquez also won a National Silver Telly Award for a UCLA Public Relations commemorative broadcast production.  Other awards include a shared Emmy, Angel and Finalist recognition in the New York International Film Festival.  

David Bojorquez attended UCLA and is a graduate of the California State University, Fullerton, Film and Television Program.
